Applied Medical is pleased to announce the creation of the Technical Recruiting team. As a Technical Recruiter, you will manage all aspects of the engineering recruiting process from job requisition, talent mining and candidate qualifying to candidate offer and acceptance. You will help build and maintain a competitive intelligence database using internal and external resources as well as strengthen and promote Applied’s internal candidate referral program. You will also work very closely with other Recruiting teams and may have opportunities to contribute to those teams as well.

Position Description

Position Description:

  • Work closely with the Engineering (Hiring) Managers and other team members to deliver a pipeline of qualified engineering candidates across multiple job requisitions
  • Recruit top talent through a variety of methods including, job postings, SEO optimization, LinkedIn Boolean Operands, and other resources
  • Qualify, evaluate and interview candidates via email, phone screen, webcam, and in-person interviews
  • Collaborate with Engineering (Hiring) Managers and other team members to create successful profiles that align to company culture and experience requirements
  • Research, implement and maintain leading-edge sourcing tools

Position Requirements


  • 5+ years of full cycle engineer/technical recruiting experience is preferred
  • Strong interviewing and candidate evaluation skills and experience
  • Must live within a commutable distance to Applied Medical’s home office in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA or be willing to relocate, as this position is office-based
  • Extensive knowledge of web research techniques such as LinkedIn, social media and job boards as well as expertise in other recruiting capabilities
  • Must be a team player
  • Avid learner and critical thinker with a natural tendency to ask the right questions to gather additional information to enhance search efforts
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner 
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make quick decisions with extreme attention to detail



  • Experience in recruiting Medical Device engineers a big plus
  • Proficiency using iCIMS or other technical recruiting applications
  • Working knowledge of HTML
