Applied Medical is pleased to announce that we are looking for Field Associates (formerly Sales Associates) to join our team in the exciting and challenging world of operating room/medical device sales.  We are looking for extraordinary men and women willing to commit to a rigorous 12-month training program, with the goal of graduating to an Account Manager Associate position.  The right candidates will be taught the fundamentals of operating room sales and be trained to sell clinically to surgeons, surgical staff and hospital administration.  This is unique opportunity to break into a dynamic organization in a highly regarded sales arena.

 

The Field Associate Program is a 12-month training program that consists of three phases of training with the goal of graduating to an Account Manager Associate position. The first phase is a 6-week intensive training course at our corporate headquarters in Rancho Santa Margarita, California, followed by two phases of 120 to 180 days of supervised training in a selected field location in the United States.  Candidates must be willing to relocate to the open associate territory of our choosing at the end of the program. This is a tremendous opportunity for individuals who appreciate working on a highly interactive, engaged and supportive surgical sales team.  In this training, you will:

  • Participate in 6 weeks of intense training at the corporate headquarters in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., followed by two phases of 120 to 180 days of supervised training in a selected field location in the U.S.
  • Be taught the fundamentals of operating room sales
  • Learn how to sell clinically to surgeons, surgical staff and hospital administration
  • Work on a highly interactive, engaged and supportive surgical sales team within a dynamic organization

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • Must have a 4 year college degree
  • Must be able to travel extensively for first 12 months
  • Must be willing to relocate to take an open associate territory at the end of the training program
  • Must have a great attitude and willing to go above and beyond each and every day
  • Must have strong ethics. 
  • Must be willing to work hard and be a part of a team environment
  • Extracurricular collegiate activities a big plus
  • GPA 3.0 or higher preferred
